It’s Olympics fever, and with the main event kicking off this evening you can’t help but get excited! Even the most sceptical amongst us is beginning to warm up to the fact that this is one of the most exciting events in the world, and the fact that it only happens every four years is even more exciting. This year London is playing host to the games promising an event like never before, and being a tea drinking nation, to celebrate we thought to join in the festivities with a special competition of our own…
For the duration of the games we will be running a competition for you to predict how many medals the United Kingdom (UK) will win this year. Being the host nation and strong favourite in a number of pursuits we have been predicting this will be a record year for the UK, but only time will tell.
There are 3 prizes up for grabs valued at close to £100, with the winner being the person who accurately predicts the number of medals the UK will take home…
Gold (1st prize £46.95): a bottle of Nicolas Feuillatte champagne and Sikkim Temi 1st Flush luxury tea tin
Silver (2nd prize £26.90): Honeybush luxury tea tin and Earl Grey
Bronze (3rd prize £9.90): 50g loose leaf tea pouch of Fergusons Ceylon and 50g loose leaf tea pouch Organic Vanilla Rooibos
Please note there is only one entry per person and competition closes midnight Friday 3rd August 2012. We will notify all winners as soon as possible and aim to get send all prizes out the week after the games, by 18 August (posted UK Royal Mail 1st Class or Royal Mail Airmail if outside the UK.)
In the event of more than one entry accurately predicting the correct medals tally, we will then randomly select a winner from all the correct competition entries. This equally applies to the Silver and Bronze competition winners, with valid entrants from each level who have not won, being allocated to the level below that. The Silver and Bronze prizes will be allocated to the entrants who closest predict the winning number, with Silver being the closest, and Bronze the third placed.
Enjoy the games!
