It’s Olympics fever, and with the main event kicking off this evening you can’t help but get excited! Even the most sceptical amongst us is beginning to warm up to the fact that this is one of the most exciting events in the world, and the fact that it only happens every four years is even more exciting. This year London is playing host to the games promising an event like never before, and being a tea drinking nation, to celebrate we thought to join in the festivities with a special competition of our own…

Always fascinated by stories of intrigue, adventure and inspired by history with Chateau Rouge we wanted to create a brand that not only encaptulates a history and heritage, with stories of discovery, but also a personal touch. In looking at aspects to incorporate in the designs, we wanted to include objects or images that may well have a personal connection or tell a real story, rather than just make one up. The Nepal Fikkal Ilam tea packaging is one such product and tells the story of Sean Farrell’s great Aunt, from Johannesburg in South Africa. Read the rest of this entry »

Wiedouw Long-cut Organic Rooibos Tea is available exclusively at Chateau Rouge Luxury Teas. We sell the only true single estate long-cut Rooibos tea in the UK, and as far as we are aware are the only company importing and selling Rooibos direct from a tea farm in South Africa and not through brokers in Europe. We held a an exclusive tea tasting this week at the Vista, on the Trafalgar hotel roof terrace in London, Arguably one of London’s best roof terrace bars and a beautiful contemporary boutique hotel; and were blessed with good weather and a great crowd.
