Break tradition with this beautiful red Japanese iron kyūsu (or teapot) handmade exclusively in Iwate Japan by skilled craftsmen, in one of only 2 areas producing these teapots dating back to the 17th century. A smaller version of the tradiional Tetsubin iron teapots which were used on open fires, the kyūsu became popular in Japan in the 19th century as 'status symbols'.


Decorated in Japanese symbols indicating the 'Four Seasons' this teapot is perfect for all occasions and enjoyed equally with all types of tea. Glazed with enamel on the inside and with a fitted tea strainer, these teapots are built to last.
